Deadly Apples Release 'Sacrifice'
Deadly Apples

Montreal’s own dark rock disruptors Deadly Apples are back, and they’re not here to play nice. The band has dropped a brand-new single, “Sacrifice,” a ferocious and cinematic slab of industrial-laced rock that features some serious heavy hitters from the alt-metal world.

The track marks a massive return for the duo of Alex Martel (vocals/lyrics) and Antoine Lamothe (drums/composer), joined by none other than Richard Patrick (Filter / Nine Inch Nails) on vocals and Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails / Till Lindemann) on guitars and bass. “Sacrifice” was produced by Lamothe himself, mixed by Ben Grosse (Depeche Mode), mastered by Tom Baker (Marilyn Manson), and guided in early pre-production by the legendary Michael Beinhorn (Korn).

Oh…and the drums? They were tracked on Lars Ulrich’s original Black Album kit. Yeah, that one.

The result is a roaring, venomous statement piece, part industrial apocalypse, part melodic revelation, and one of Deadly Apples’ most intense releases to date.

If “Sacrifice” feels like a turning point, that’s because it is. Deadly Apples have spent 2025 reclaiming the danger, unpredictability, and sheer theatricality that modern rock has been missing. Their previous single, “Volatile,” was a breakout success, racking up over 100,000 Spotify streams in its first week, 100,000 YouTube views shortly after, and landing on editorial playlists like Spotify’s All New Metal and Apple Music’s Breaking Hard Rock.

The band’s relentless energy carried onto the stage with massive festival slots this year at Welcome to Rockville (Florida) and Vivo x el Rock (Peru), where they shared the main stage with Avenged Sevenfold and Marilyn Manson. Not a bad warm-up for a new era.

Formed in Montreal, Deadly Apples is the unholy brainchild of Martel and Lamothe, a partnership fueled by chaos, artistry, and obsession. Known for their intense and unpredictable performances (frontman Martel is notorious for literally diving into and disappearing beneath the crowd), the band has built a global following that thrives on catharsis and danger.

On stage, the duo is joined by a touring guitarist and a keyboardist/dancer, fusing aggressive sonics with theatrical movement. The result? A sensory overload that’s equal parts ritual and riot.

Their résumé reads like a tour diary from hell: arenas and festivals across North and South America, Europe, and Japan, alongside Korn, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Deftones, and Rammstein, plus main stage appearances at Hellfest, Knotfest, Vans Warped Tour, Hell & Heaven Fest, and Resurrection Fest.

The band’s upcoming full-length album, DISTRESS, is already shaping up to be a defining statement. Recorded in Los Angeles and featuring the same powerhouse team behind “Sacrifice,” the album promises to be darker, deeper, heavier, and somehow catchier than anything Deadly Apples have done before.

Cinematic soundscapes, primal energy, and a pulse that swings between beauty and brutality, this is rock music that remembers how to be dangerous again.

Deadly Apples aren’t just back.
They’re reborn.
And they’re about to destroy everything in their path.

“Sacrifice” is out now. The Distress is coming.
