Eagles of Death Metal are hitting the road this summer to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2006 fan-favorite Death by Sexy, and they’re not easing into it – they’re kicking the door off the hinges and dragging the whole record with them.
The newly announced ‘Death by Sexy’ 20th Anniversary Tour launches August 3 in Solana Beach, California, and tears across the U.S. before wrapping September 3 in Los Angeles. And this isn’t some casual nostalgia lap – the band will be playing Death by Sexy in its entirety, alongside a stack of fan favorites that have kept crowds sweating for the better part of two decades.
Formed in the late ’90s, Eagles of Death Metal – led by Jesse Hughes and co-founded by Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme – built their reputation on a swaggering, tongue-in-cheek take on garage rock, laced with blues grit, sharp hooks, and a live show that feels more like a full-on party than a concert. Despite the name, there’s nothing death metal about them – just raw, riff-driven rock ‘n’ roll with a devilish grin.
