LA-based 3-piece blues rock band Sweet Justice are gearing up for the release of their long-awaited EP since 2004, Redline, out November 9th under Arkival Records (pre-save the album here). Redline is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed self-tiled debut that was released in 2004. The EP was written by Bruce Duff and bandmate Frank Meyer, and contains 8 genre-spanning tracks including the White Stripes-esque song “Tell the Preacher,” and the bluesy track “Medicine Show.”
In addition to giving us the plug to their new music, member Bruce Duff (also of Streetwalkin’ Cheetahs and Jeff Dahl Group) generously gave us some of his current favorite artists and answered some of our goofy questions for The PROBE:
1) If a roach crashed into your rehearsal space, would you run or would you kill it?
If I catch it, he’s dead. But we of course rehearse in clean places.
2) Does anyone in the band like to play practical jokes? If so, what’s one of the all-time best ones?
Not really. We’re unified in our practical joke against society.
3) What’s the last gift you received?
Wow, it was yesterday. It was a Nawlins care package of all sorts of N.O. food treats from my pal Cyril. Mama Roux!
4) If you could pick one thing about yourself that you’d like your fans to know, what would it be?
I’m a cancer survivor.
5) What music are you listening to lately?
Monster Magnet’s new three-sider, Frankie & the Witch Fingers, Adrian Younge, Goat, Idles.
