WATCH: Interview with Post-Punk/Goth Duo TRAITRS

Toronto-based post-punk/goth duo TRAITRS recently chatted with Music FiendsAngela Alameda before their show at Three Links in Deep Ellum in Dallas, TX. They discussed their hectic touring schedule, how they stay sane on the road, what it’s like to have their song featured in the new Crow soundtrack, and much more. Watch the clip above!

TRAITORS’ goth-influenced post-punk immediately recalls acts like Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus and Pornography-era Cure

Their emotive melodies, propulsive rhythms, angular guitars, and dark cinematic electronics speak to the masses, as TRAITRS  have quickly become one of modern post-punk’s fastest-rising bands.

TRAITRS formed during the summer of 2015 in Toronto, Ontario Canada. After gaining buzz in the European and North American dark music scenes, TRAITRS released their critically acclaimed LP Butcher’s Coin (Pleasence Records, Manic Depression Records, Alchera Visions) in May 2018. Backed by the strength of lead single ‘Thin Flesh’, the duo embarked on a series of lengthy tours overseas, performed in over a dozen countries including showcases at Wave Gothik Treffen, Castle Party, Extramuralhas, Nocturnal Culture Night, Wavefest, Canadian Music Week and Pop! Montreal.

TRAITRS released the full-length LP Horses In The Abattoir in November 2021 and have since created a large amount of new music… so a new album will definitely be forthcoming sometime in the future.

For now, be sure to catch them on tour in a city near you. Keep your eyes peeled to @traitorsofficial on Instagram for the latest news and tour dates.

TRAITRS is:

Sean-Patrick Nolan and Shawn Tucker.
