Bootblacks’ Panther Almqvist and Barrett Hiatt recently went Under the Probe for us at Music Fiends….in a very big and awesome way. Who would pick Martha & Snoop Dogg to be on his team in the Zombie Apocalypse? Since forming in 2010, Brooklyn-based Bootblacks has been churning out post-punk goodness with their moody, dark melodies and driving beats. The band draws its influences from the post-punk and darkwave scenes of the 80s, while also infusing their sound with modern electronic elements.

With three LPs – Veins (2016), Fragments (2018), and Thin Skies 2020) – and another, Paradise, on the way,  Bootblacks has played festivals such as Cold Waves, Terminus, Absolution, Wave Gotik Treffen, and Murder of Crows, and has toured the US and Europe extensively.
