After signing with Idol Records and touring with Spoon and Guided By Voices, Fort Worth, TX-based indie-pop, new-wave band Black Tie Dynasty was riding high and considered one of the most popular bands to come out of North Texas. However, just six years after forming they disbanded in 2008 which has left fans craving their synthy-rock goodness ever since.
But Black Tie Dynasty is back! The band’s upcoming full-length album drops Friday, May 10th and they’ve got a record release party happening Saturday, May 11th at Tulips in Fort Worth, TX. Also performing will be special guests Lorelei K and Curl.
The guys are also headlining the Memorial Day Party at Double Wide in Deep Ellum on Sunday, May 26th.
Cory Watson (vox, guitar), Brian McCorquodale (synths, keys), and Blake McWhorter (bass) of Black Tie Dynasty all recently went Under the Probe. Watch their responses to our nosey interrogations below!
