GWAR has released their 10th anniversary expanded edition of the 2013 album Battle Maximus. The previously unreleased song, “Tammy, The Swine Queen” features the final recording from the band’s deceased vocalist Oderus Urungus (Dave Brockie), who died in March 2014 only 6 months after the band released Battle Maximus.

GWAR’s current singer Blothar the Berseker had this to say about the album reissue and the song “Tammy, The Swine Queen,” – “Musically, Battle Maximus is a great debut work by [lead guitarist] Pustulus Maximus, and lyrically, it is the final word of lead singer and band founder Oderus Urungus, The record is run through with the desperate, dangerous, and fully bananas imagination of Oderus. In fact, this re-release includes a song so nutty we named it twice, and then promptly forgot to put it on the record the first time around. ‘Tammy, Queen of Dirt,’ or, ‘Tammy the Swine Queen’ is the final performance of the maestro of mayhem, Oderus Urungus, and for our fans, it does not disappoint.”

GWAR’s summer tour supporting Mudvayne is coming to a close, but beginning October 11th in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, the intergalactic barbarians hit the road again for their fall North American headlining tour which ends October 30th in Orlando, Florida. Support for the tour includes hardcore legends Negative Approach, X-Cops (featuring former GWAR members), and Cancer Christ.
