Oasis are among the finalists for the induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2024, but Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher doesn’t seem to care. What a shocker.
When responding to the news of Oasis’ nomination, Gallagher tweeted on Sunday, “Fuck the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS LG x.” (Bumbaclart is a British slang word for menstrual pads or toilet paper.)
In Twitter replies to fans, Gallagher went on to call the Hall of Fame “a load of bollox” and said, “I don’t need some wank award by some geriatric in a cowboy hat.” Liam also said that while he is not interested in attending the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he bets Noel, his estranged brother and bandmate, would attend because “the little fella loves hanging out with celebrities so he’d prob go.” But what will Liam be doing instead? He writes, “I’m washing my hair and having a pedicure and a manicure.”
The inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s class of 2024 will be announced in April. Liam is awaiting the release of his collaborative album with The Stone Roses’ John Squire, which is set to drop March 1st.
