Welsh Heavy Metal band BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE‘s newest self-titled album is officially released and streaming everywhere. Their newest music has undoubtedly given us a taste of the reminiscent era of early 2010’s BMFV.  After the success of their 2018 album Gravity which amassed some of their largest shows and over 1 billion US streams, the band’s reversion into the thrash, riff-rearing beauty we didn’t see on Gravity greets fans with a nice treat.

In an interview with A&P Reacts, guitarist Michael “Padge” Paget exclaims,

“We started writing heavy right from the start, and it just got heavier and heavier. Once we realized we were gonna make an aggressive record, there was no stopping us. We had a direction, we knew what sort of road it was gonna go down, and we just kept writing and making it as heavy as we possibly could.

“I think without ‘Gravity’, this record might not have happened. So the last record definitely gave us a direction to go in on the new one. So it’s been interesting. But [they’re] two completely different albums. It’s just awesome how it’s turned out. We’re super stoked.”

Bullet For My Valentine has been around since 1998, gracing the heavy metal genre with their most notable hits such as “Tears Don’t Fall” and “Your Betrayal”. Their self-titled album is available for streaming wherever streaming exists via Spinefarm Records/ Universal Music Operations limited.
