Dashboard Confessional Brings New Album Trailer And Single ‘To The Mat’

Indie Rock virtuoso band Dashboard Confessional has graced us all with their fresh single “Here’s To Moving On” off of their February 2022 album All The Truth I Can Tell. The anticipated album comes four long years after 2018’s Crooked Shadows.

Their newest single “Here’s To Moving On” holds the classic acoustics Dashboard does so well, with optimistic, grounded lyrics that omit a sense of realness and change. There’s simplicity in the music and words- it’s so easily relatable and sonically focused.

Frontman and songwriter Chris Carrabba spoke on the album-

“Honesty was at the heart of the writing process, at the heart of the recording process, and at the heart of this collection of songs….

I think in this song I find myself understanding what brought me to the mat and what it takes to get up off the mat…Sometimes what brought you to the mat are outside forces and sometimes it’s you, yourself. Or it can be all those things. But it does seem the only thing that gets you up off the mat isn’t outside forces – it’s always you.”
