A four-legged metalhead named Storm made her way to the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA to get her metal on and catch the Metallica concert.
When the husky didn’t clear the stadium with the rest of the fans, she was taken to an animal shelter. A Facebook post from the Animal Health & Wellness Organization incorrectly reported that Storm was abandoned at the gig by her owner, but both Metallica and the husky’s owner, Arizbeth Hurtado, later explained that Storm snuck out of the house and entered the nearby venue, where she took in all the action from a seat among the two-legged metalheads surrounding her.
Metallica posted the following on their social media pages: “You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for #M72LA! Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to @sofistadium and made her way to the gig all by herself. After a full night taking in the show with her #MetallicaFamily, Storm was safely reunited with her actual family the next day.”
The band continued, “She had a great time listening to her favorite songs, including ‘Barx Æterna,’ ‘Master of Puppies,’ and ‘The Mailman That Never Comes.’ And in case you were wondering, no. You definitely shouldn’t bring your furry friends to the #M72 World Tour. But this dog sure did have her day.”
Hurtado, who lives across from SoFi Stadium, told the site Pet Helpful, “She is home and safe! We learned something new about her… she is apparently a huge Metallica fan who decided to sneak out for the concert!”
Referencing the photo that the Animal Health & Wellness Organization posted of Storm at the stadium, Hurtado said, “We were laughing so hard when we saw she was SITTING IN AN ACTUAL SEAT AT THE CONCERT.”
