West coast dwellers – you lucky bastards! The Flaming Lips have announced a few shows in your area.
The band’s 2023 trek, which they’ve dubbed “An Evening with the Flaming Lips,” will start with two shows at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on February 28 and March 1, then they’ll hit Stateline and Las Vegas before ending with three shows in California. The final stop is March 9 with a show at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara.
As described in the band’s press release, “An Evening With The Flaming Lips” will show “the alternative rock stalwarts mining their catalog for what promises to be an epic and unforgettable two-hour set.”
After their west coast dates, they’ll play a handful of shows in London, Chicago, Atlanta, and D.C., as well as Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival.
Public onsale begins Friday, December 9 at 10:00am local time via Ticketmaster, but fans can scoop up tickets in the pre-sale on December 8 (use code CHEER).
