Paradox Obscur is back, and they’ve brought a whole new vibe with them. The Athens-based synth duo of Kriistal Ann and Toxic Razor has been lighting up the underground electronic scene since 2014, blending analog magic with moody modern flair. Now, they return to Metropolis Records with a fresh spark: their shimmering new single ‘Lose This Feeling’, a reimagining of Armin van Buuren’s 2023 dance hit, completely flipped on its head.
Gone is the big-room energy and in its place, a nostalgic, slow-burning synthwave reinterpretation wrapped in lush, textures and hauntingly heartfelt vocals from Kriistal Ann. It’s like the club lights dimmed, the fog rolled in, and you suddenly found yourself in a dream sequence with an ‘80s heart and a future-forward soul.
‘Lose This Feeling’ marks the first taste of Paradox Obscur’s upcoming album IKONA, set to land in 2025, promising a rich journey through retro and cutting-edge electronic soundscapes.
The duo’s origins are as eclectic as their sound… classical training meets synth geekery, Prague conservatory finesse fused with raw hardware experimentation. Their real-time recording philosophy means everything you hear is steeped in the authenticity of live analog performance – no presets, no shortcuts, just pure darkwave electricity.

Having already earned critical acclaim and a cult following across the globe, Paradox Obscur continues to blur the lines between minimal electro, darkwave, and post-punk , and with ‘Lose This Feeling’, they invite you to join them in a beautiful, beat-driven dream.
Out now via Metropolis Records.
