Rise Against to Release Live EP “Nowhere Sessions”

Alt-punkers Rise Against will release a companion EP to their latest album, Nowhere Generation, on November 12th. The EP, titled Nowhere Sessions, is a six-song collection of live versions of Nowhere Generation songs plus two covers – Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Sons” and Misfits’ “Hybrid Moments.”

Pre-add and pre-save the EP here.

Band frontman Tim McIlrath describes the EP’s first single, “Talking to Ourselves,” as “watching yourself and the people around you fall into complacency. Despite your best efforts to get peoples’ attention, it feels like no one is listening. Sometimes we feel the urge to do something crazy, to disturb the peace, to jostle the world around us awake.”

About the new EP, McIlrath says, “Our songs take on so many different patinas when we play them live or strip them down. In some ways, every time we play it is different. It was fun to document one of those sessions and we’re excited to share it with the world.”
