Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has dropped some rather large hints about upcoming touring plans for Weezer in honor of the upcoming 30th anniversary of their debut LP, The Blue Album, which came out in 1994.
According to a new interview with Collider, Cuomo said: “We are going to give it its due respect and come out with a really amazing deluxe package with a bunch of additional material, and of course, we’ve gotta do some kind of epic tour,” he said.
Weezer dates already booked for 2024 include a handful of co-headlining dates in the UK with Smashing Pumpkins and a Shaky Knees Festival appearance.
Cuomo continues on to hint that more shows are to come: “There’s this very suspicious blank space in our calendar for months after that, so I’d keep your eye on that.”
