ROB ZOMBIE Bassist PIGGY D. Leaves Band After 18 Years

After 18 years with the band, bassist Matthew “Piggy D.” Montgomery has parted ways with Rob Zombie. Piggy D. played for Zombie beginning in 2006, and has revealed his time with the band has come to an end through a private post on Instagram. There has yet to be a comment from Rob Zombie on Piggy D.’s departure and no replacement bassist has been named. The lack of response should be of no surprise to anyone since Rob Zombie never addressed the departure of John 5 from the band.

Montgomery, who gave no specific reason for leaving the band in his Instagram post, stated: “Dear Friends, My time with Zombie has come to an end. It was an honor to entertain you for the last 18 years. I look forward to the future and wish everyone the best. Peace & Love, Matt Montgomery aka Count D., Piggy D., Giggles.”
