FAN REVIEW: Bring Me the Horizon – Hamburg Sporthalle
by Majbritt Kosmahl
With four bands in total (A Static Dress & Poorstacy), A Day To Remember already smashed it as a support. Playing basically all the hits that they have ever created (e.g. “2nd Sucks,” “Right Back At It Again,” “The Downfall Of Us All,” “If It Means A Lot To You,” “I’m Made Of Wax Larry,” “What Are You Made Of?”) this was a worthy 45 minutes support show!
Continuing with Bring Me The Horizon, who were able to fill an entire arena (!), they played more of their newer songs but did not disappoint either with songs like “Shadow Moses” or “Sleepwalking” (even though I would have loved “Chelsea Smile” or “Pray For Plagues,” too, as Oli Sykes mentioned in between). Nonetheless, their setlist was just as good: “Happy Song,” “Teardrops,” “Strangers” and “Can You Feel My Heart?,” just to name a few, including several songs from their latest album.
Being able to witness the biggest circle pit in an arena, you could tell that everyone was enjoying the show to its fullest, especially having a sing-along to “Chop Suey” before the actual show.
