Iggy Pop and the Losers
Sold Out show at The Regent Theater in Los Angeles, CA on 04/20/2023

I felt so privileged to sing “Happy Birthday” to the Godfather of Punk on his 76th and The Losers gave a special kind of high-energy performance.
Iggy shows are always a crazy intense wild ride but especially so in a small LA Venue! The feverish, disorderly crowd was totally uncontrollable once Iggy announced they were recording the show and he wouldn’t mind if anyone joined him on stage. That was all the license they needed to go buck wild!
Security was having a rough night to say the least! The reckless stage diving knocked my plugs straight out of my ears and one of my earrings as well -so I had to secure it in my purse. Big angry guys were shoving me so hard into the rail that it made me feel like they were slowly squeezing the life out of me just for a chance to try to touch Iggy’s hand.
I ended up with a scraped bruised knee too. But my friend Nancy Allen lined up at 10:30 AM (she was first in line) to secure my amazing front and center spot at the rail, so I wasn’t about to give it up – although many did and ended up moving off to the side.
I was so happy he performed “Nightclubbing,” one of my favorites, and covered “Walk on the Wild Side” so beautifully for his encore.
Would I do it again HELL YES! In fact, I’m going for round 2 at the Palladium next Thursday.
