Since emerging on the Los Angeles underground music scene in 2015 with their primitive post-punk debut album, A Thousand Hands, Sextile released their synth-tinged second album, Albeit Living, in 2017, followed by their latest LP of hardcore dance music, Push, in 2023. Never a band to remain sonically stationary, Sextile has carved out a distinctive sound for themselves that effortlessly channels the raw intensity of post-punk icons while simultaneously drawing from the futuristic textures of industrial and electronic dance music.

Currently on tour supporting Molchat Doma through early March, Sextile continues on their genre-bending musical journey and are gearing up to launch their next album on May 2nd. Sextile’s Brady Keehn had a chat with Music Fiends’ Jason Hensel before his recent gig at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX. Want the scoop on what to expect with the new album? What to know who Brady thinks is an “American Treasure?” Watch the interview clip above!
